In 2014, Matthews Hospitality was registered in California to partner local developers on the
Hotel Cerro project.
This 95,000 square foot urban in-fill project, designed towards LEED Silver environmental guidelines, combines high-end retail, 8 luxury residences, a boutique hotel consisting of 65 rooms and suites, brasserie-style restaurant, on-site distillery, gym, rooftop pool & bar, versatile meeting spaces, full-service wellness spa and valet parking.
Matthews Hospitality was engaged to provide the full complement of Concept Development, Establishment of Brand Standards, Brand Guide and Marketing Strategy, complete Technical Services, and Operational set-up through the opening.
Coordination with Ownership, Architects, Interior Designer, General Contractor, Subcontractors and Specialist Contractors, City, State, and Federal regulators, and neighboring property owners/operators.
The "Hotel Cerro San Luis Obispo" experience combines the contemporary design and style of a boutique hotel with the service and excellence associated with luxury brands. Appealing to broader and more active audiences — families, romantic couples, friends on a city spa getaway, as well as business travelers and local area residents.
